thanks keep up the updates, if it work well for you will do same myself next time I to a full plant change. have one side lettuce that has been going and providing for now 60 days, leaves starting to brown at tips any ideas? old plants to much light? lack of feed? Lettuce are light feeders overall, so make sure they don't get more than 600-800ppm. But it's really important to make sure they have enough calcium, especially if you're using distilled or RO water. When lettuce doesn't have enough calcium, it will start to get craters in the leaves, twisted leaves, and brown crispy leaf tips. Add 5ml per gallon of calmag to your water first, then add your base nutrients. Also make sure the light isn't too close. About 6 inches above your lettuce is fine. And make sure you don't have a non-oscillating fan pointed at it at all times. That causes too much humidity lost and wind burn on the leaf tips. Other than that, make sure your PH is within the proper range, and you should have no more leaf problems.

I never asa the about of nutes to lettuce as they do not need that much. I have never added calcium to them. I guess I have enough in my water.

I use 5 caps of nute for my lettuce instead of 6 and the calcium gives benefits as well.

Today is both nutrient day and the second time we are doing the water change since planting. My daughter is in charge of taking care of our farm and does a great job with it! :-)

Your lettuce has exploded! You’re going to be like Lucy Ricardo unable to keep up with the chocolate candy conveyor belt.
