Hi everyone! It’s been almost a month since my last update but the peppers are still doing their thing. The plant on the left has really grown after its first small batch of peppers. There are at least ten of them growing at the moment. Besides some leaf curl, things are looking good. The one on the right seemed to need some rest after the first full crop but now there are plenty of peppers just starting to grow.

How long did it take from plant to harvest?

How long did it take from plant to harvest? I planted them at the end of May and my first harvest was in September.

Finally harvested from the left plant was was a late bloomer compared to the one on the right hand side. They are smaller than my first harvest but that’s okay. I still have one pepper almost ripe and one green. There are a good number of peppers on the other plant but they’re all green. Time for a rinse and refill!

Will you (or did you) eat them raw in a salad? stuffed with a pimento? fried? sauteed? How was the taste?

I’ve been using them mostly for stir-fry and once I made chicken with peppers and onions. They taste good, exactly like a store-bought pepper to me.

We are a pork-free home but some turkey Italian sausage with peppers and onions isn’t a bad idea.

Very very nice! Some pruning does look in order there. Either that or spin the plant so the fruit is on the deck.

I have yet to turn plants. I’ll give it a shot.
