Bummer. The pump quit on my new Farm 12. (That's the one where I was testing the seeds with 2019 "Sell by" dates.) It explains why the mini jalapenos seemed to be growing so slowly. "Test Pump" did nothing, so I replaced the pump. It made no difference; so I tested the old and new pumps in an empty Bounty Elite. Pumps were working. Evidently the Farm 12 has a faulty circuit board or wiring, so I wrote to Aerogarden. If I don't hear from them pretty soon, I'll try Chat, but I really hate chatting because I'm so inept with it. The Curly Parsley (center) may be done for, because its leaves have changed color, but the other plants will probably survive in their new home. Swiss chard is at the front, next to the red leaf lettuce. It looks spindly, but healthy, sort of.

I am sorry to hear this. Did you make sure that the pump wires were secure in the box they plug into? Just throwing that out there.

Lynnee, I'm also very sorry to hear this! Is everything else working on the unit? Lights on, raises and lowers too? Water level sensor?

Lynnee, I'm also very sorry to hear this! Is everything else working on the unit? Lights on, raises and lowers too? Water level sensor? Yes, I checked all of the connections, and raised and lowered the lights; the audio alerts and everything else seemed fine. I didn't check the pump wires, but both pumps worked in another AG when I just plugged them in. I'll keep the wires suggestion in mind if it happens again, because that never occurred to me. The Farm 12 is a 12-pod unit, so it doesn't have a connector box like the 24-pod Farm models. I got impatient and went with chat a little while ago. It finally occurred to me that I could paste in a pre-written explanation of the problem. They are going to send me a replacement hood, under the warranty. For once I didn't manage to accidentally disconnect the chat session!

So glad to hear that Lynnee! Yes, using Word to create a doc and then just cut & paste is very helpful in a lot of situations.

The new hood is great news, lynnee! Yes and no. I'm not looking forward to taking the Farm 12 apart and reassembling it. I am wondering whether they'll want me to return the old hood. I'll post about that.

The "rescue" garden of older seed pods has really perked up since the water is being aerated. I think the curly parsley is toast, but am giving it a bit longer. The Swiss chard in front looks healthy now. Some of the lettuce went into a sandwich already.

Good news! At least one of the curly parsley rescue seedlings is growing.

The bell pepper plant that had blossom end rot is still producing. There are four young adult peppers visible in this photo at the bottom, and one tween visible in the foliage at the top right. More little ones are growing at the top.

The Rescue garden has a new occupant--the Red Veranda seedling that was started late. It's healthy, but not thriving. There was some space because I harvested the Swiss chard and made it into a casserole with Gruyere cheese sauce this afternoon. If the seedling does well, like the mini jalapenos, it will soon have more room after the lettuce starts to go to seed.
