Nice set of chard you have there. And the new seedling is doing well.

Today I gave the bell peppers in the Wireless Bounty and the poblano peppers in the Bounty Elite an early R&R. They were both 2 days away from needing nutrients. The three poblanos are healthy, and their roots look wonderful (still white, after 60+ days). They are producing blossoms, and I'm gently shaking them daily, but they aren't growing peppers. They may have set some fruit, because they're dropping spent blooms without the stems, but there aren't any visible baby peppers. Maybe the fresh shot of nutrients will get them going. The bell peppers are producing nicely. I didn't really want to disturb them today, but the logistic advantage of keeping two gardens on the same R&R schedule won out.

The new hood for the Farm Plus 12 is supposed to arrive tomorrow! I'm still mulling over what to plant. I may move the flower GAL there, if I can get it put together by Sunday. I found a "Love Blooms" kit and could add three of those to the none pods from "Flower Lovers". I just hope that the new hood works properly.

No hood yet. It's coming by FedEx, which is very erratic right now. Today I harvested all the bell peppers (3 plants) and made them into sweet refrigerator pickles.

They look so good. I love the red onion for color and flavor.

The poblano peppers have finally set some fruit! Hip hip hooray! I need to get some sort of stylus or an app that will draw finer lines.

The Farm 12 XL replacement hood came today! So far, everything seems to be working (keeping fingers crossed). I moved the solo eggplant to the Farm 12 XL, and it seems quite content (Day 62). It was in the black grow deck in the left side of the white Farm Plus. Now I can't remember exactly why I moved the black grow deck to the Farm Plus. The decks are back where they belong, but I can't start a new garden right away in the empty Farm Plus left side, because the producing bell pepper plant is poaching the lights from the left side.

I'm glad the new hood arrived and it works!
It is a quite a dilemma that you can't start a new garden, though.

It took me an hour and a half to take the old Farm 12 Plus apart and replace the hood. I couldn't see any easy way to test the hood first, so it was a real relief when I plugged it in and everything worked. I solved the empty Farm Plus garden problem by moving in three mini jalapeno plants. They aren't doing very well in the Rescue garden in the Bounty Elite, but are big enough to grow under the Farm Plus light at the height needed for the neighboring bell pepper plant. I hope they'll like the location, which has been good for peppers.

The mini jalapeΓ±os that were relocated to the Farm Plus still looked a bit sickly, so I added 4 ml of CalMag+. Looking at the photos from right to left, you can see how they greened up over the next two days. They are also starting to produce flowers.
