Your tomatoes look beautiful! Thanks!! They have been a challenge so I'm ready to terminate and start something different.

You now need a couple of aerogarden bounties or farms so that you can top your pizza with your own homegrown tomatoes and peppers to go along with that fresh basil....
See how this works.

Do you mean like these . . . . Cherry Tomatoes and Jalapenos Eggplant and Tall Peppers My name is Clovis, and I'm an Aerogarden addict.

Learning to take pictures -- And some sad little chives -- It's been ages since I did AG chives, and as I recall, mine were pretty sad little affairs as well. I don't think chives are the best herb in Aerogardens, so don't feel bad. That, and not a good idea if one has cats, which I do. Your basil and lettuces look great!

Your Dwarf Awesome look fabulous, slw! What did you think of the flavor? How tall did your plant get? How many total tomatoes? H and I really love the DAs, which is why I'm trying to figure out how best to grow them for good production.

Of course I'm not a big fan of yellow tomatoes so maybe that's part of it. Seems like the skin is kind of thick on them, too.
I got 1 tomato from the plant I terminated early, though it had 3 or 4 small ones that got tossed. The remaining plant had 5; the first tomato had blossom end rot. Only 2 tomatoes remain to be harvested. That plant is in a Bounty; I kept it pruned to stay out of the lights. I'm sure I'd have more tomatoes if it had been allowed to stretch and grow.
I used only AG nutes for the entire grow cycle, except for a single dose of cal-mag when the first tomato had BER.

I don't think chives are the best herb in Aerogardens, so don't feel bad. That, and not a good idea if one has cats, which I do. Your basil and lettuces look great! Oh, No! But I have to have chives. That's the whole reason I bought the first Harvest. I wanted some chives growing right there on the counter so I could make this -- (Tossed salad and scrambled eggs -- They're callin' again.) Chives are essential. So here's the plan -- I'm going to plant an entire Harvest with chives. That way they won't be overshadowed by taller plants. I have a bunch of Aerogarden chive pods, but I also have a packet of garlic chive seed coming, along with some Grow-Anything pods. And I will load those bad boys with extra seeds so when they sprout, they'll look like troll dolls. Got to have them chives.

I always wanted chives too. Nobody has had much luck with chives in AGs. They germinate and grow but they don't multiply much SO you have a few sticks in each pod that are all dried out at the top from the heat of the light hood. They do taste fine though.
Your approach is correct!.. plant the whole AG with chives and load up the pods with seeds.

TODAY!
Beans, beans, the musical fruit The more you eat, the more you fart The more you fart, the better you feel. Beans beans with every meal!
I raised two boys... ya know how many times I had to listen to that as they were growing up...
(and my son just taught it to my grandson!)
===
This is my first attempt at green beans. The variety is called "Empress"
So as you can see, green beans grow very well in a bounty. They only grow about 15 inches tall.
There are lots of beans getting about big enough to harvest. My issue is when to harvest? If you are growing a row of green beans outside, you just go along and pick the ones that are big and ripe. Here, I've only got two plants in a bounty. I need to judge when best to harvest. The oldest beans shouldn't be too old as they get tough. Yet the younger ones need to get as big as possible so that I have the best chance of getting a decent side dish for a meal for two.

As guys, we are required to pass this down from generation unto generation. I think it was the Pull My Finger Act of 1798. We are required to teach all male progeny the Musical Fruit song, barking spiders, and of course, Pull My Finger. The Act was amended in 1932 to additionally include The Arisrtocrats. Nice looking plants, and those green beans are huge. How do you plan to serve them? I hope it involves more butter than is healthy for a body.

Green beans will be simply steamed with a little salt and a lot of butter.

Clovis Sangrail, it helps to be patient with chives. Once you get them going, they do okay in an AG. The ones that I transplanted from an AG to soil really gre like gangbusters, too.

This morning I finally noticed that the light hood on the Harvest XL had never been lowered when I started bell pepper pods. Oops. No wonder those little guys have been struggling.

Green beans will be simply steamed with a little salt and a lot of butter. FWIW, green beans are lovely raw in salads if picked early. You want them small and thin, like maybe 3" long or so. But obviously, you get less quantity that way. I also approve of the simple steam with salt and butter! Your bean plants look beautiful and productive!

My wife eats raw green beans and raw potatoes. I'm afraid both of which I need to cook.
